The Goodman GC9S8 dedicated downflow (blows air into ducts located below it) /horizontal flow gas furnaces features a patented aluminized steel tubular heat exchanger and high-efficiency hot surface ignition system. These furnaces are run-tested for heating or combination heating/cooling applications. With a heavy-gauge, reinforced, wrap-around insulated steel cabinet and durable baked enamel finish, these gas heaters can be installed in a utility room, closet, alcove, basement or attic. (Not intended for use in mobile homes).

• This furnace does not comply with California NOx Standards (the Goodman furnace models that end in "X" do comply). This furnace is not for sale to the state of California due to emissions laws. Please see our high efficiency Goodman furnaces (models GMS9, GCS9, GMV9, GCV9, GMH) which are compliant with California laws.

In addition to covering the heat exchanger with a Lifetime Limited Warranty to the original, registered homeowner, if the heat exchanger fails during the first 2 years of ownership, we will replace the entire unit for as long as you own your home.
