The HANG20 high altitude kit is designed for use with select Goodman® brand GM9S8, GC9S8, GMES8, GCES8, GMS8, GMH8, GDS8, GME8, GHS8, GDH8 model furnaces and select Amana® brand AMH8 model furnaces. The kit includes a set of #46 natural gas orifices and a high altitude pressure switch with a set point of -.60” W.C. 

The HANG20 kit must be used when installing a natural gas furnace listed in the chart below, at altitudes between 5,501 ft. and 10,000 ft. Above 5,500 ft, replace the factory installed pressure switch with the -.60” W.C. switch included in the HANG20 kit to avoid nuisance pressure switch trips. Also at or above 7,500 ft. altitude, replace the factory installed natural gas orifices with the #46 orifices included in the HANG20 kit to prevent over-firing.
